Plant Trade available...Swap me for a starter tree?!
This is our corkscrew willow that sits in the garden entrance...we have 2 other cuttings currently planted in pots that are looking for a home! We don't have enough space for them here in the garden...they like a lot of sun, some good space...and are serious water hounds (root wise, so can't plant too near major irrigation).
If you have an interesting plant - flower or veg - we'd be happy to swap! Drop me a note (atouteheure@me.com) and let us know!
We've got two pretty healthy cuttings that came down in the crazy mini-snowstorm in October... they rooted up in some water buckets and we planted them...they are starting to bud and leaf!!
Let us know if you are interested!!

The SOIL has arrived!
All of the beds have been turned and prepped - layered with the mowed down winter rye, leaves and compost - and were ready for a little refresh on top. So...our first truckload of soil arrived this morning...beautiful mushroom soil, fresh and aromatic (if eau-de-manuer is your thing!).
We got 5 yards this morning and got all of the herb beds tucked back in, all of the above-ground boxes topped off, and the bean patch readied. We are ready to plant in these guys...and have fresh herbs up as well!!
Tomorrow we are planning on 7 yards, which should get most of the plots retopped!! Looking forward to getting the irrigation running this week too! Or...Mother Nature could do her part with a little rain here and there!
It's starting to look like spring around here!

Turning!
So we made a dent in our work-list for the week! All the trees are in, the boxes are cleaned and ready for soil, the rye got mowed down and now we are working on turning....so I made a quick video this morning! Back to work!
